Capoeira Arts Camp 2025

Capoeira Arts Camp 2025

June 16th-20th, 2025 | Berkeley Capoeira Collective | 1901 San Pablo Avenue, Berkeley, CA

Please join Mestre Tico, Mestre Marreta, and Asé Arts for camp this summer!

This is a chance for young people (Ages 5-11 years) to learn about and deepen their relationship to the Afro-Brazilian martial and ritual art form of Capoeira through music, movement, and art projects.

At Capoeira Arts Camp we will focus on coordination, stamina, musicality, balance, working together, playfulness, and creativity. Your teachers will be Mestre Tico, the founder of Ilê Axé Capoeira, a world-class capoeirista, and Mestre Marreta, Co-Founder of Berkeley Capoeira Collective, a teacher of experiential anatomy and functional movement. The art class will be with Nichole Talbott (Manga-rosa) the founder of Asé Arts, a non-traditional learning space that provides accessible, high-quality, multi-disciplinary, inter-generational arts experiences. In the art class, we will use different mediums and build different projects throughout the week.
